Amy Satin Spinelli

Amy is the CEO of Earshot, an exciting new app for teachers that measures talk time, wait time, and question-asking. Earshot received a grant from the National Science Foundation and is the winner of numerous pitch awards. After starting her career as a corporate lawyer at Squadron, Ellenoff, Plesent & Sheinfeld (now Hogan, Lovells) in New York City, Amy realized her true calling was to use technology to engage learners. Amy worked as a producer and product manager at ACTV in New York City and at Thomson Reuters in Hong Kong, developing interactive information experiences for states, school districts, as well as financial professionals. She also led business development at ed-tech companies Taskstream and Learn Technologies in New York City, developing innovative technology platforms for teaching, learning and research. Amy also worked as an entrepreneur and consultant, advising in areas such as college admissions, strategic planning and leadership development. Amy holds a JD from Harvard Law School and a BA from Colgate University (Philosophy and Asian Studies/Japanese).
