Kathie Tourangeau

Kathie Tourangeau is an expert in inquiry-based instruction. For the past 30 years Kathie has dedicated herself to engaging, empowering and and encouraging learners, leaders and educators in realizing their potential as global citizens.

Kathie works with the Toronto French School (TFS) as a consultant to further the development of the Primary Years and Middle Years programs of the International Baccalaureate program. TFS is known as Canada’s International School. Kathie is also an online workshop leader and site visitor for the International Baccalaureate Organization. 

A former elementary and special education teacher, Kathie served as principal of five of the Edmonton Catholic Schools (K-12) over the course of her long career. She was also the District Principal supporting the work of the Chief Superintendent by leading large-scale projects and significant technological change.

Kathie earned a Masters, Ed University of Toronto (Educational Administration). She holds a graduate diploma from University of Alberta (Counseling), a B Ed University of Alberta (Special Education), and a Diploma from Vanier College (Special Education).
