Paula Baxter is part of the pedagogical leadership team at International School of Phnom Penh in Cambodia, a leading International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. Previously, Paula taught in the UK, Colombia and Venezuela before becoming involved in the IB Primary Years Program in Austria. From there she became PYP Coordinator in Switzerland, and then in Italy where she also became Elementary Director. Since then she has served as Elementary Principal in IB World Schools in Bangladesh, Germany, Indonesia and Cambodia. Paula also works with Council of International Schools (CIS) as a school visitor and is a workshop leader and school visitor for the IB.
At school Paula is passionate about inquiry-based teaching and learning, and the process of feedback. She has a growth mindset and believes that with effective and meaningful coaching, every teacher can grow and thus every student’s learning can be maximized. Paula earned a Bachelor of Education degree specializing in 5-11 year olds from University of Exeter, UK and a Masters in International and Overseas Administration and Supervision of Teachers through the College of New Jersey, USA.
